Yesterday was a VERY long day for us, but we had such a great date day in Sioux Falls. We were up WAY too early (5:30am) for no particular reason, and finally decided it wasn't worth trying to go back to sleep anymore, so got ready and left at 8am.
We stopped in Valley Springs, SD at Manly Tire to get new kicks for the Grand Prix before meeting up with Mark's Dad and Pam for a delicious lunch at HuHot. They just so happened to be over there after some medical tests Mark's Dad had done there the previous day. We enjoyed eating and visiting with them until it was time for us to get over to the mall for some pictures at JCPenney.
After pictures, we made a few shopping stops around town at Target, Scheel's and Hobby Lobby, then were planning to take in an afternoon matinee of Contagion at Westmall 7, then perhaps stop in for a quick visit to see my friend, Rach, but the roads were pretty questionable with some freezing rain we encountered on our way over, so we decided to get on the road before it got dark and make our way to Worthington to meet some friends for dinner at Ground Round.
We got there a tad early and stopped at Slumberland, then ShopKo, where we finally were able to purchase the dresser for the nursery (HOORAY!!), which will be put up this afternoon, Lord-willing.
We had a good time catching up and visiting with some good friends over dinner, then settled in for a movie at the Graber's before making our way home.
We were both completely wiped out by the time we pulled into our driveway, but it was such a wonderful day :)
