This little stinker is climbing on EVERYTHING these days. Here we go again!

Most of the time, I look and feel about like this before I have my coffee. Since I still work full time,
I have to make myself slightly more presentable, but deep underneath, this is what having 3 boys ages 5 and under looks like.

Fun at the park with friends!

It isn't often enough that we have date nights with our friends! We need to make this a way more regular thing, I think.

I think it's easy as a busy, overworked, overwhelmed Mama to sometimes focus on all the ways your spouse DOESN'T step up to the plate. Trust me, we've worked through our own issues on that whole point, but I'm trying to be better about noticing the things Mark does exceptionally well without complaint. Putting on kids' shoes, and always being the one who treks back upstairs at bedtime to get the kids a cup of milk or snack are two of the big ones for me. I mean, when I get weary these days, I'm bone tired. So to my hubby,
who I don't tend to praise often enough these days, thank you! I'm noticing, even if it doesn't always seem like it.

We switched this big kid to a bed on the floor in his room. He had to check it out! We switched exceptionally early, but I'll tell ya what: We sleep this way, and before this point, he was sleeping in our bed with us, since he wouldn't sleep in his crib. So far, so somewhat good.

This is a lazy weekend morning AFTER a little coffee. Someone always has their hand down my shirt, I very seldom, if ever, wear makeup, and I'd say a good solid 90% of the time, I have a little monkey playing with my hair.

One random Sunday afternoon, I came across this. This kid hasn't napped for us in at LEAST six months,
so I was a little stunned. He had been going through a growth spurt, and well...let's just say we'll probably be looking at size 6T jeans before long. He's 3.5 years old. Gonna be one tall kiddo! I kinda always thought he'd be a chunkier kid, but he's really thinning out too. Where does the time go?

This guy is a BIG time worm hunter. I feel a slight bit bad that I don't replace the bricks around the trees, but this is an every day thing, and well...I'll refer you back to my picture at the top of the page again.

I love this woman so very much! I'm so grateful my sister and brother-in-law were such quick thinkers and were able to save her life at the beginning of the month.

My little niece Caitlin wanted to take selfies with Aunt Amy the vast majority of the time we were visiting my Mama at the hospital. I had to put a stop to it at one point. She's such a little goofball :)

We both thought we looked so cute this day. All I keep thinking when I see this picture is, "Man, we both look so exhausted". I guess that's what life does to ya. Love you, sis!

All registered for Kindergarten. How did that happen?!

I had such a refreshing day at the Priscilla Shirer Live Simulcast event at our church on the 8th. So much wisdom. So much growth for me.

We spent a couple Sunday afternoons at Bridges Bay Waterpark in Okoboji in April. It's only $5 per person on Sunday afternoons in the winter. The first time, Kendrick didn't really want anything to do with the water, and he mostly walked around the outer perimeter.

At the end of our second visit, he had very little fear (beyond of the slides and large dumping bucket).
He spent a ton of time going in and out of this little dome thing, and at one point when I thought he was with Mark and Mark thought he was with me, we found him in the lazy river with random people who helped pull him out a bit. I was expecting him to be terrified, but he brushed it off, didn't cry a single tear, and when we said it was time to go, said, "Aw man, really?!" Maybe we're turning a corner here!

Baby brother, however, is a HUGE fan of the water.

This was pretty much how our egg coloring went this year. Cashel was running late to AWANA and not wanting to eat, so he got to drop all of one egg in before running out the door, and the little guys couldn't wait to just try eating them.

Trying to take the eggs away resulted in this sad scene:

Worm collecting has become some sort of big deal around our house.

Pre-Easter lunch with Mark's Dad, Pam, Jess and Tyler.

We don't see a lot of Uncle Tyler these days, as he's not living nearby anymore. The boys sure do love him!

Easter Egg Hunt #1

This little guy adores his Daddy!

I know: This seems luxurious, no? During pregnancy, it has to be an every night occurrence or else I wake up with the worst charlie horses. I am so ready for 14 weeks from now when I can have that 20 minutes back every day while snuggling and nursing a newborn.

I love that this kid loves coffee like his Mama :)

This one, on the other hand, thinks it's fun to look at haha

This kid is such a goofball ;) I'm slightly concerned that he's going to be the class clown type.

This kid has the poutiest pout face.

This turned out cuter and creepier than I anticipated haha

I discovered over Easter that I'm allergic not only to lilies, but also now to tulips. What are the chances?

This face! I love animals, I really do, I just don't have the patience or energy right now to keep up with them. This is my sister's pup, Bruce, and I just love him!

This guy and I felt so crummy on Monday that we both stayed home from work/daycare. We went to the doctor's office to get checked out that afternoon (after a 2.5 hour nap) and found there was nothing they could do, as it was just a head cold. Tried the chiro the next day and were on the road to recovery hours later.

Our kids are not short on personality, that's for sure.

25 weeks!

This is the one we thought might be short and stocky. Officially at the 98th percentile in both height and weight.

Date weekend started off right!

This woman is such an encouragement to everyone who knows her. She turned 92 this past Thursday. Mark and I SO enjoyed our visit with her on our date weekend.

Golf time! I am terrible at golf, admittedly. Mark spent most of the time making fun of me lol

According to this picture, we need to clean the room out. According to ME, this picture means we're almost there! This will be Ryan's new room once he stops rolling off his new bed. We currently have the mattress upstairs on his floor in what will be the nursery. We got rid of a LOT of stuff that was cluttering this room for city-wide clean up last weekend.

This kid is OBSESSED with my hair. Like...cannot sleep without a fistful of it in his hand. It could be a very long summer ahead of us...

This kid does not enjoy taking normal photos anymore. It's all goofy all the time these days lol

Many days I feel like we're doing life all wrong around here. Our kids have a LOT of energy compared to pretty much all the kids around them, and I feel like I yell too much, and need to be more consistent and blah blah blah blah...and then we take a trip to the park, and I sit on the ground in front of this kid to swing him (because I'm too dang tired to stand and do it at this point), and he just sits there grinning from ear to ear squawking at me, and I realize that we're doing something right ;)

Mama and Me Day shenanigans. Cashel just laughed and laughed when he brought this home to Daddy. I told him Mark didn't like marmalade, and he told me that was funny, and that we needed to take some home to him then. I wonder where this kid gets his sense of humor lol

Celebrating 92 years with this sweet lady!

We've been going down to Spirit Lake almost every Sunday in April to take advantage of their $5 admission on Sunday afternoons. Fun for the whole family!
