Lately in Windom (July Edition)

Summer is so messy! We're constantly cleaning faces and fingers around here.

Cashel is really fascinated with my wedding rings. He will randomly ask me to see them every once in a while, and then tell me that Daddy gave them to me for our wedding.

I absolutely love to see my boys loving on their Grandpa. It's still just mind-boggling to think that we almost lost him 4 years ago to the farm accident. We're so thankful that God brought Mark to check on his Dad at that particular time to find him and get him the help he needed.

I'm sad that both of my older boys are so scared of dogs :( They are very slowly coming around, but still refuse to pet them, and coming this close to a dog is a HUGE step for Kendrick. He doesn't dislike dogs, he just prefers to watch them from a distance.

Whenever I question whether or not we were crazy for having another baby, it seems God places these sweet moments in my day. These big boys absolutely adore their baby brother. I'm so glad we're past the phase where they want to send him back ;)

This picture makes me want to cry :( My poor baby and his eczema :( We're still on the hunt to figure out why he flares up so badly in the summer (likely as a result of having to have so many more baths since he gets so sweaty and dirty). I wrote a post about it the first week of July on his blog.

This guy has the most smiley eyes :) I just love it when he smiles. His whole face just explodes :)

Sometimes we're just *that* tired.

Keeping shoes on these boys drives me a bit batty!

There is no shortage of love in this family :) Grandma Pam is such a blessing to us!

I finally figured out how to photograph fireworks!!!

I have a love/hate relationship with this picture. I ADORE the faces and the excitement, but I LOATHE the fact that Kendrick is itching his neck again :( I need an "easy" button for eczema, because I really really really really hate it :(

Two of my favorite guys :)

How? I mean...really? 4 Months?

We sure do love these cousins of ours!

We sure do love us some Grandma Ruth!

Cashel is always so goofy with his little brother. haha

The gorgeous view from our room in downtown Sioux Falls on our overnight date.

We had such a fun time catching up with these two a bit. Parenthood has gotten us all exhausted, so having a really fun night out was a major plus.

The big boys love to crawl in to snuggle with Ryan. I'm amazed at the height difference between big and little.

Not much room left these days haha :)

This guy is totally gonna be a lady slayer. It's the eyes!

Always gotta guard his milk source haha :)

We had a fun swim afternoon date with the Studes at the Lakefield pool. These two are such a delight :)

Mamas and our kiddos! My kids like to scream "CHEESE!" at the top of their lungs for pictures these days.

July Recap

Oh man: If we thought June was busy, July was 10 times busier, and it's looking that will run right into August.

I'm in desperate need of a scrapping day, so I'm hopeful that will happen sometime in the near future. Until then, if I don't want this July Recap to be finished in September, I'd better just make it a photo montage instead. Enjoy!

Looking Ahead...
We had fun celebrating Mark's 37th birthday on Monday, but now we're currently spending some time with Mark's siblings and their families as they visit from California and Nebraska right now. It was a very unexpected and last-minute thing, so we're still adjusting to the spontaneity of it all after just coming down off an extremely busy month. However, it's good to see them, and we're looking forward to being able to spend more time with them this weekend, since we're finally not bound to work as we have been this first week of the month.

Ryan and I are headed to visit my Mom for a few days on Sunday afternoon, and then after that, the focus is on Kendrick's 3rd birthday party at the end of the month. I'll have a couple days in Minneapolis for work, but then beyond that, it's party time!

I jokingly tell myself that September will be calmer, but we all know that life is just not going to slow down for a really long time. Who knows - maybe we'll have a free weekend at some point. Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy at least an evening out for our 10th wedding anniversary, but time will tell ;)
