Exhausted and Ready for a Nap!

This is officially the first weekend of the summer where I've been home for a whole Saturday! It has been a VERY busy summer for Mark and I - even busier than we initially thought, and it has left me exhausted and ready for a nap!

For beginners, I spent much of April and May attending showers and bachelorette parties for the two weddings I was in. My little sister got married June 7 to her boyfriend of 7 years, and at the same time, the Ropte Farm in Humboldt was undergoing major construction projects. They all wrapped up right around the same time - the weekend of Amanda and Michael's wedding. We had a couple free weekends in the middle of June, which we spent with friends, whether out at the lake, or at their homes. The last weekend in June, I was down in Kansas City for Gretchen's bachelorette party, which was so much fun, but way too short a weekend!

July is only half over, but we've been so busy we haven't had much time to think just yet. We started off the month with a much-needed getaway to Duluth again. We had a wonderful time, although we really had a pretty junky camping experience the last two nights we were there. Less than a week after we got back from Duluth, Mark and I were down to Primghar, IA for my old roommate Gretchen's wedding, in which I was a bridesmaid. It was so good to see her so happy :)

Well, less than a week after Gretchen's wedding, I was traveling to work in Sioux Falls when I hit a pretty decent-sized rock in the middle of the road that I didn't see because there was a slow-moving truck in front of me. It caused a lot of damage, and so my car is now in the shop until the 25th (at the earliest). Needless to say, the rest of the week was pretty junky, and I was grateful for the extra sleep last night.

I'm excited for tonight, though! I'm having a couple girlfriends up for the night for a girls' nite in party, complete with chocolate-dipped goodies and chick flicks :) However, after a long past couple days of prep work for the party, I'm completely exhausted, and again - ready for a nap! So instead of sitting here writing any more, guess what I'm gonna go do :)
