Well, in lieu of my semi-successful first skiing experience in Mankato, we're headed to the Black Hills next weekend to try out my skills again! I have to say, I'm pretty excited about it, but also pretty nervous! I'm still just plowing snow, basically, and haven't gotten the turns down yet. I'm sure with a little more practice, I'll be better, but it still makes me nervous. I just hope I don't end up on a black diamond somewhere since I have a hard time stopping. We're leaving Thursday afternoon and will be back Sunday night. We're headed out with two other couples and another of Mark's bachelor friends. It should be a lot of fun!
Other than this big trip, we really don't have a lot planned. Mostly just work and shoveling snow. We tried snowmobiling a couple weeks ago, but ended up burning off the recoil rope on one of the snowmobiles on the short-trac one, so we haven't gone much since. I have to say, I'm not really sure that winter sports are one of my highlights of the winter. I think I'm actually more of a sledder, or a tuber, or maybe just the type to sit in front of a roaring fire with hot chocolate or chicken noodle soup.
Oh, but June will be fun! My brother and his wife are expecting another little one, so Mark and I will go out to Indiana shortly after that, and lend our support and help around the house. We haven't been out there in 2 years, so we're excited to see everyone!
Well, it's time to hit the gym...and then we're headed to Worthington for a cookie-making extravaganza!
