Little Glimpses

I just discovered this cute post that has been in my drafts for probably the better part of a year, but thought I should just go ahead and post it. Much of it is outdated, but it makes me look back on a year ago so fondly :) Enjoy!

I'm too tired to write a true blog post on anything of significance lately, but noticed a trend lately with some of my photos, and wanted to remember a few things from our lives during these years :)

We don't eat doughnuts at our house often, but this particular morning (Easter morning) will go down as one of my favorite mornings :) We were all mostly feeling crummy, but we got sprinkle doughnuts this particular morning, and somehow everything seemed to be a little less mucky. Also, my kids are not really fond of chocolate milk. I think that makes them strange.

These socks just make me smile every time I put them on. And the way Kendrick holds his legs these days just makes me chuckle. He sits like this every time he's in the high chair.

This puzzle I bought for 50 cents from a garage sale in 2012 is our most cherished puzzle. I have no idea why the boys love it so much, but it holds fond memories for our boys. Lately, Kendrick has been carrying around the cow piece (so it's never in the puzzle) and calls it "Moo".

Cashel is BIG into Hungry Hungry Hippos these days. When he plays us, it doesn't matter who has the "shiny one", if you gobble it up, he steals it from your pile and puts it back in the mix until he is the one who gets it. I think he gets his competitiveness from his Daddy lol

Also, see that chicken? I bought that at Hallmark for the boys last year, and it is completely beyond me as to why they don't love it as much as I do. We've lost 2 of the 3 eggs (they have to be hiding around here somewhere), but it is the cutest little chicken, and it makes me smile when I see it.

Banana pancakes are BIG DEAL at our house these days. HUGE. We have them at least one day of the weekend, and even Kendrick gets completely stoked when he hears me say "banana pancakes". Cashel will request them for supper during the week even.

The boys have a few favorite hats, and this is one of them: Giraffe Hat. Both boys have worn the crap out of this hat. Cashel adopted Monkey Hat once he grew out of Giraffe Hat. It is currently down at the Ropte farm, and we try not to mention it for fear Cashel might have a breakdown. We're thankful that it's warmer and we don't need it.

I don't recall at what point Cashel went from eating Spaghetti with his fingers to using a fork, but I actually kinda love the stage when they eat everything with their hands. It's SUPER messy, but it just seems drastically more joyful than when you have to eat by the rules with utensils and everything.

These are BY FAR my favorite PJs that Cashel has. I don't know if it's the reindeer pants or the shirt or the combo or what, but whenever he wears them, it makes my heart happy :)

These personalized towels were the BEST thing I ever got for the boys. I'm tempted to get them a second set for Christmas this year.

These are my favorite PJs that Kendrick wears. I just love little baby bums in this style PJs, and the navy and blue stripes just melt me!
